Meet Jeremy
Born and raised in Prince William County, Jeremy is a true public servant deeply embedded in the communities of VA District 29. As a long-time volunteer firefighter, a department director for the City of Alexandria, a VA State Senator and a dad with kids in the VA school system, he knows the issues Virginians face because he lives them.
A life working for the people of VA
Jeremy McPike grew up in Prince William County, Va., he attended Gar-Field High School, and then worked as a construction laborer and eventually as a construction superintendent to pay for school expenses at George Mason University. He holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s of Public Administration, where he was selected for the Northern Virginia Public Service Fellows Program.
For the last 20 years, Jeremy has served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department (DCVFD), where he is an Assistant Chief and has been honored with Life Membership.
Jeremy has worked for the City of Alexandria for the past 22 years, currently serving as the Director of General Services. In this role, he works to make sure public building projects come in on time and on budget.
